Mick Capouch

Mick started M&R Ag Services dealership in 2001.

Before starting his career in the seed industry, Mick cropped dusted for 26 years. After ending his crop-dusting career, he owned a greenhouse, The Blooming Idiots, with his wife, Rose. This became a true family business, allowing their children to work throughout their school years and remained in operation for 14 years.

One of Micks favorite things is getting to help farmers improve their farming techniques and help improve ROI on their farm.

Some advice Mick would give to someone starting out in the Ag industry is “all setbacks are character builders, so don’t get discouraged.”

In Micks spare time he loves spending time with his grandkids, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and flying his plane.

Ryan Kohlhagen
Ryan’s family has sold seed for many years. He kicked off his seed career in 1999, and has been selling for Beck’s Hybrids for the past 13 years.
Some advice Ryan has for those starting out in the Ag industry is
·         “make hay while the sun shines-   Most Agriculture jobs are weather dependent, so make the most of the weather while it is good.”
·         “passion for your job- Whatever your job may be, work at it with passion, integrity, and hard work.  Be thankful and enjoy the good times and this will help you get through the rough, hard days!”
When Ryan finds “free time” he enjoys spending it with his wife Amy and their four girls, watching AFV, Shark Tank, or listening to southern Gospel music. Ryan really enjoys co-hosting a Sunday morning Gospel Country Style Radio Program.

Sarah Chaffins

Sarah has been a part of M&R Ag Services since 2012. She previously came from the banking industry.

Sarah enjoys spending her days out in the field answering agronomy calls with customers.

Sarah’s advice to anyone starting out is the Ag industry is “you must accept the things that are out of your control, have fun, and in negative situations look at the bright side. Things could always be worse.”

Sarah enjoys spending her free time with her husband and four kids. They enjoy going camping as a family. She loves watching her kids play sports and also enjoys landscaping and crafting.

Roger Chaffins

Roger has been with M&R Ag for 16 years. Rogers specializes in auto mechanics and warehouse logistics.  Previously he worked at NAPA Auto in sales. Roger is currently a maintenance supervisor at Ardagh Group.  Roger keeps all of our equipment up to date, and running.

Rogers’s advice for anyone starting out in the Ag Industry is “nothing is unattainable, and there are no free hand outs.”
When Roger has free time, he spends it in the shop fixing anything Mick has managed to break.

Roger loves all things Ford, camping, and spending time with his wife and four kids.

Shelby Sanders

Shelby joined the M&R team in 2020. She graduated for Purdue University in 2018.

Shelby’s advice to anyone starting out in the Ag industry is “do good work and be known for it.” Honestly, Travis Tritt sang it best “don’t you ever dream about a life where corn don’t grow.” The Ag industry is full of incredible people, endless opportunities, and rewarding outcomes.”

Shelby loves spending time with her family, especially her three nephews, and friends. She loves any opportunity to get back together with her college friends, and enjoys cattle, summertime, all things Purdue, Crime Junkies, and traveling. She loves ending a long day of work with a friendly game of HORSE!

Travis's advice to anyone starting out in the Ag Industry is "oftentimes, it's not what you know, it's who you know. Work to build relationships with people."
